Get your art on set.
We rent original, cleared artwork to film & TV productions all over New York — and we're always looking for new artists to add to the catalog. You keep your originals. We handle the printing, the clearance, and the productions. You get paid when your work books. Pretty good deal.
How being a Funhouse artist works
No middlemen, no fuss. Four steps from your studio to the screen.
Send us your work
Drop a portfolio link or upload images right here. We work from your high-res files — your physical originals never leave your studio.
We clear it & list it
We rights-clear each piece for on-camera use and add it to our catalog, where set decorators and art directors browse for their shoots.
Productions book it
When a production rents a piece, we print it to spec — framed, canvas, custom size — and handle, track, and insure every copy.
You get paid
Commission is a straight 50/50, net 15 from the day a production's invoice clears. No per-rental approvals — your work just keeps working.
Why artists like it here
Your art gets a second life in the production world — with none of the risk that usually comes with it.
Zero risk
Your originals stay yours
Everything we rent is a reprint made from your files, so your original pieces are never handled, shipped, or on the line. Show them, sell them, hang them — that's all still yours.
No headaches
We carry the insurance
We hold liability on every printed copy in our possession. Nothing to manage, insure, or worry about on your end.
Real exposure
Seen by the people who book art
We feature artists on funhousearts.com and in emails to a list that's mostly set decorators, art directors, and production designers — the exact people sourcing art for shoots.
Fair split
50/50, net 15
A straight half of every rental, paid 15 days after the production's invoice clears. Clean and simple.
No lock-in
Start small, leave anytime
No minimums, no contract trapping you. Most artists start with 5–10 pieces to see how it flows. Want a piece pulled? Send a note and it's down.
Two formats
Physical reprints + digital
Your work can live as rentable framed reprints out of our Brooklyn warehouse, as digital downloads productions license directly, or both. Most artists do both.
